3.8l V-6, SEFI, tuned intake manifold
CURRENT PERFORMANCE MODIFICATIONS:
Advanced the timing 14* BTDC richened the air/fuel ratio by installing extra resistance in the iat circuit Torque Strap K&N air filter less airbox silencer less a bottle-necking airbox intake tube(snorkle) that I couldn't fit a Half-dollar through-yikes Otherwise, to improve the power/weight ratio, I carry a cell-phone instead of 35lbs-worth of a spare and a jack. |
Drivetrain: |
TRANSMISSION:
AXOD-E
OK, this is not exactly a drivetrain feature, but I lowered the front end about 2" with metal brackets. They've been on there about 10 mos with no problems. I'm going to lower the back as well, but I think not as much. I'll have to get longer bolts than the ones that came in the kit, though. BTW, the kit only cost $8(eight dollars). |
Notes: |
My Sable has 105k miles, deep jewel green ext., grey leather int., sun-roof, tint windows, keyless entry, CD player, Stock premium speakers, stock premium alloy wheels. Put a stencile in the third brake light that says 3.8L V6 EFI. My Sable and my computer are my greatest and favorite material things.. but I like my leather jacket a lot too.
In the future I would like to get a shift-kit, Diablo Chip, tranny cooler, underdrive pulleys, 1-2" lowering springs, cold-air intake, fiber-glass SHO hood with a scoop to cool the plenum, a 120+ spedometer, hi-flow muffler, the Windstars intake manifolds and heads w/p&p job, and maybe a spoiler.
These next mods I want but probably won't do unless the part falls on my lap or the old one quits: hi-flow cat , bigger cam, stroker kit (to 4.2L). |
